Electra is the height of modernity with its extraordinary shine and shimmer. Electra increases durability and polish of otherwise dull metals, which would deteriorate. Chrome is easy to maintain and clean increasing surface hardness of the base metal. Polished Chrome is synonymous with Art Deco architectural details, Bauhaus school furniture, classic cars and motorbikes. Astor caters to all of these markets and more with highly polished chrome. Chrome is the hardest finish that still has a decorative feel.

Application

Can be applied to any metal including aluminium, brass, stainless steel & mild steel. Often specified for shopfitting, balustrades, furniture, tapware, marine hardware.

For external use, aluminium & mild steel substrates to be specified as “Duplex Chrome" or "Duplex Electra". To maintain the integrity of finish, parts should not be cut or drilled after plating as this leaves the base metal exposed to environmental degradation and we will not warrant our finish under these circumstances.
