The original Art Deco finish, until the more difficult chrome plating was perfected. Polished Nickel is often seen on vintage cars, fixtures, furniture, cabinetry for Astor to restore. A design favourite is Polished Nickel unlacqered, left to age naturally. We often see Nickel used on trophies where reflectivity, shine are desired and (silver too expensive). Nickel is often mistaken for chrome however on closer inspection, nickel has a soft yellow reflection where as chrome has a harder blue tone.
