Arcturus Oiled Astor Metal Finishes

Oiled bronze is left unlacquered and is instead finished with a protective oil. This offers mild protection against tarnishing and as such, will allow the bronze-plated parts to age naturally over time. The result is a slight dullening and darkening over time depending on the environment exposure to elements and maintenance (with soft oily cloth).

This finish is achieved by plating heavy brass which is then aged. The result are variations of shade which is the distinct nature of Brown Bronze range. A great many variations are possible which is why for large projects, we recommend a custom sample to be done for approval at the beginning of the production run.

Application

Can be applied to any metal including aluminium, brass, stainless steel & mild steel. Often specified for retail, handrails, doorware, signage, joinery details, furniture, lighting, tapware, rangehoods and panels.
